It’s funny and perfectly ironic isn’t it, that perfectionism keeps us from starting something, even if that something is an antidote to perfectionism.

Mindfulness has been so positive and meaningful for you that you changed the name of your newsletter. I’m happy for you, Derek.

Thanks so much, Ryan, for noticing! Yes, definitely ironic. Mindfulness has largely been the central theme in most of my writing, but the name "Ketamine Saves Lives" just wasn't clear enough, so I think it created some confusion. 😊

This is so accurate, I just had to restack it! As a recovering perfectionist and mindfulness teacher, my whole journey started out the same way. It's definitely a lifelong process, and not a quick fix, like we think is possible when going into it.

Hi Beth, thanks so much! Recovering perfectionist as well. I wonder if we hide our fears behind our perfectionism?

Nobody is perfect. A very refreshing perspective. Mindfulness can be practiced during meditation, but meditation and mindfulness are not the same. Like you said, you can have a mindful shower, wash the dishes mindfully, or be mindful of your breath—these little moments can make such a difference for the whole day and its outcome. Some people might say they don't have time to meditate, and that’s okay, but they will always find opportunities to be mindful during the day. Being present is a skill that not many possess, but all of us would benefit from it, for sure. There is beauty in imperfection, especially when you become mindful of it. :)

Thanks, Alina! I wholeheartedly agree. Wherever we are and whatever we do, however imperfectly, may we mindfully embrace the present moment.
